Why choose CSA?

CSA programs are a fundamental way for produce farms to operate. Your share directly funds the farm to help buy seed and supplies, as well as continue to expand and be able to provide even more fresh produce to the community.

Supporting local farms is crucial to our area’s longevity. It redirects the local economy and supports local business rather than feeding into larger corporations. We support many local farms and businesses, and try to keep items in our store that are as local as possible. Hershberger Heritage Farm, Bedminster Orchards, and Manoff Markets are all within 20 miles of us!

A CSA program also connects you to your farmers, therefore cultivating an intimate relationship with food and health. We provide the freshest produce, which is full of vitamins and nutrients. A lot of grocery store and market produce has already traveled miles (via truck or plane) and has sat on the shelves for days before making it to your bag. Another common practice is artificially ripening produce to lengthen the shelf life using artificial ripening gases (most common is ethylene). This causes the nutritional value to go down dramatically. Additionally, our organic practices support the natural life cycle and needs of each plant. This ensures that the maximum amount of vitamins are in the produce we provide.

“The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine, or the slowest form of poison.” -Ann Wigmore

In the wake of a country riddled with illness and inflammation, it is important for all of us to take charge of our health and nourish our bodies with the food that we eat. Consuming healthy, organic, nourishing produce is one of the best ways to do so.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” -Hippocrates

VINTAGE

Our classic vegetable share! We offer 5 sizes (see below) to accommodate your needs. Come by the farm weekly or bi-weekly and get your share for 22 weeks. With each share size, there is a suggested weekly spending amount. We provide this as a way for you to evenly use your share balance through the season. With that being said, we understand life happens and things may prevent you from coming to the farm one week. Our staff will help you keep track of your balance throughout the season and make sure you fulfill your balance by the time the CSA ends.

All produce is included in these shares, including items we didn’t grow on site (seasonal items, crops we are limited with or have trouble growing, fruits).

Read more about each share and decide which is best for you!

Corporate CSA Program

Do you work somewhere that’s health conscious and would enjoy the benefits of a CSA without some of the drawbacks? Well, this program is for you!

We offer all sizes of our vintage share to health oriented employers looking to participate in a CSA!

We bring pre-made shares once a week for a 2 hour time window designated by your group. The program runs for 22 weeks as well, from May-October. If a pick up is missed, the member is responsible to come pick it up at our farm.

We have had successful programs with Fred Beans Doylestown (2019), the Newtown Athletic Club (2019), and Doylestown Hospital (2018, 2019).
